I have one of those Paper Fifty Cents in my collection box ... it seems I can get a whole $7.50 for it!!
Wait, let me pull up my rocking chair and will remember together. Oh can't do it, I'm not from Jamaica. Its good from time to time to remember where and when we came from. But we still need to keep moving forward making new memories for future times in the rocking chair.
BTW, I get my weather from western Kansas so I can't share or look forward to your rain.

Great reminiscing(sp)....I grew up in Westmoreland (in the country area) for the first 9 years of my life, I remember getting 50c for my lunch money and buying curry chicken back and white rice served in "chiffon" container. 'suck-suck' was for 15c; walking to school, which was probably a couple miles but it didn;t seem long at all because we walked in groups made up of friends met along the way. I remember being told that a mermaid (river mumma) lived in the river that ran along the road we took to school and that the the "golden table" ( a popular story from our school books) really did exist and it was guared by the river mumma with her golden comb. Of course we believed all this because older kids told us and whatever they told us we believed. I miss those days. Thanks for taking me back.
CD, I think you and me are around the same age...I remember most of those things: I especially remember how horrible the vegi-buns used to taste! But I don't remember Ring Ding and the Cavity Fighters programs on TV. The bumper cars still up @ Coconut Park btw?
